One of Gyeongbokgung’s most popular attractions is the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony, a colorful reenactment of the traditional gatekeeper rituals from the Joseon Dynasty. This occurs twice daily and last around twenty minutes. The guards wear vibrant Joseon-era military uniforms, with some playing traditional music and drums.
