Malaysia – River of Life (Kuala Lumpur)

The River of Life is one of Kuala Lumpur’s most ambitious urban rejuvenation projects, designed to transform the city’s historic riverfront into a vibrant hub for culture, leisure, and tourism. Centered around the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers—where Kuala Lumpur was first founded in the 1850s as a tin mining settlement—the project highlights both the city’s origins and its modern aspirations. Officially launched in stages beginning in 2012, it combines environmental cleanup, river beautification, and urban design to create an attractive public space in the heart of the capital. All photos created with the Nikon Z6 and either the 14-30mm f/4 or 24-70mm f/4 lens. Processed using Photoshop CC and Nik Collection’s Color Efex Pro.
