George Town, the capital city of Penang, Malaysia, is a vibrant blend of history, culture, and modern creativity. Founded in 1786 by Captain Francis Light as a British trading post, it quickly became a key hub in the Straits of Malacca, attracting traders and settlers from China, India, Europe, and the Malay Archipelago. This rich mix of influences shaped the city’s distinctive multicultural identity, which is still visible today in its architecture, cuisine, and way of life. All photos created with the Nikon Z6 and either the 14-30mm f/4 or 24-70mm f/4 lens. Processed using Photoshop CC and Nik Collection’s Color or Silver Efex Pro.
