My best friend and I used to roam around photographing what we called Vanishing California because we knew that most of what we were photographing would be gone in a few years. One day this happened quicker than expected. We had photographed an abandoned processing plant near where I live but, after developing the film, I realized it has been defective. As only a week had passed, I figured I could return around the same time of day to recreate the shots I had previously attempted, only to find the plant was no more. Below is one of the few photos I was able to salvage from that day.
