Puerto Rico — San Juan (Old Town)

My wife has found a very good map of Old San Juan and has mapped out a walking tour for us in Old San Juan. Our tour begins with a walk along a tree-lined way along the old city wall that passes the Raices Fountain and heads to the San Juan Gate.

From here we begin to head north, passing the La Rogativa Plaza, the Puerto Rico Children’s Museum, and Plaza del Totem, home to a 40-foot totem pole conceived in 1992 and designed to commemorate Indian culture. The controversial sculpture has drawn some criticism as being too contemporary for the old city.
