Bruges is a canal-based city in the shape of an egg and maintains most of its medieval architecture. The Church of Our Lady, for instance, is one of the world’s largest bricks towers/buildings and houses the only statue by Michelangelo that left Italy during his lifetime. We explore the old city center, making way for the frequent horse-drawn carriages.
