Bosnia and Herzegovina — Pocitelj

About 30km from Mostar, Pocitelj is a beautiful medieval town built on a hill that dominates the riverbed of the Neretva River. Pocitelj has always attracted travel writers, painters and poets who all found their inspiration in this place. The town is consisted of the house of Gavrankapetanović and several smaller houses, Hajji Alija’s Mosque, a madrasa and a clock tower whose bell. There are also many fruit and flower sellers on the path into the town, making it the perfect rest spot to stock up on local goodies.
