Caribbean Cruise – Trinidad

Port of Spain is the capital city of the twin island country of Trinidad and Tobago. It has a rich history dating back to its founding by the Spanish in the 16th century. This history is reflected in the city’s architecture, which includes many beautiful colonial-era buildings such as the Red House and the Magnificent Seven. Unfortunately, though the country is oil rich, safety concerns mean that we have to admire these sites from a bus on the way to visit the botanic garden before heading to visit Mount Saint Benedict’s Monastery. A Catholic monastery situated on the slopes of the Northern Range, near the town of Tunapuna, it is the oldest monastery in the Caribbean. All photos taken with the Leica CL and either the Super-Vario-Elmar-T 11-23mm (16-35mm equivalent) or Vario-Elmar-T 18-56mm (27 – 84mm equivalent) lens. Processed using Photoshop CC and Nik Collection’s Color Efex Pro 5 or Silver Efex Pro 3.
