Quito is the capital city of Ecuador and second highest capital city after Bolivia’s La Paz. Constructed on the foundations of an ancient Incan city, it’s known for its well-preserved colonial center, rich with 16th- and 17th-century churches and other structures blending European, Moorish and indigenous styles. It’s a rainy morning when we set out to explore, allowing for oversaturated color and moody black & white photography conditions. All photos taken with the Nikon Z6 and either the Nikkor 14-30mm f/4 or 24-70 f/4 lens. Processed using Photoshop CC and Nik Collection’s Color Efex Pro 5 or Silver Efex Pro 3.
