Located in the heart of Baños is its central market, a sprawling complex of stalls and shops, selling everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts. As you enter the market, you will be greeted by a cacophony of sounds and smells, from the vendors shouting their wares to the aromas of fresh spices and cooking food.
One of the main attractions of the market is its wide variety of fresh produce, which is sourced from the surrounding fertile valleys and farmlands. The stalls are bursting with an array of fruits and vegetables, such as papayas, pineapples, avocados, bananas, and oranges, as well as exotic fruits like naranjillas and granadillas. You can also find fresh herbs, spices, and medicinal plants, such as aloe vera and chamomile, which are used in many traditional remedies and teas.
