As we’ve now returned from our cruise consisting of Iceland, Greenland, Faroe Islands and Shetland, along with ports in Norway and Sweden, I thought I’d share a few of the challenges of cruising in this part of the world.

Challenge #5 – Rough Seas

Our stateroom was creaking and cracking the first few nights as we were nearest to the Arctic Circle (why I always pack earplugs). Overheard a stretcher being called for a guest early in the cruise and had to slow the ship down south of Iceland for a passenger to be airlifted to Reykjavik.
