Nordic Cruise – Iceland’s Golden Circle

The Golden Circle is the most famous of all scenic routes in Iceland. Our tour began with Kerid, a volcanic crater lake in the Grímsnes area of South Iceland. We then headed to Gullfoss (Golden Falls), one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, found in the Hvítá river canyon in Southwest Iceland. While heading to Strokkur geyser, we encountered a few Icelandic horses along the side of the road. We ended our day at Thingvellir National Park, Iocation of the first Icelandic parliament founded in the late 900s along with a visible division between the Eurasian and the North American continental plates. All photos taken with the Nikon Z6 and 14-30mm f/4 or 24-200mm f/4-6.3 lens. Processed using Photoshop CC and Nik Collection’s Color Efex Pro.
