Penang Hill, or Bukit Bendera, is one of the most famous landmarks in Penang, Malaysia. Rising about 833 meters (2,733 feet) above sea level, it offers a cool retreat from the island’s tropical heat and some of the best panoramic views of George Town, the coastline, and even mainland Malaysia on clear days. The most popular way to reach the top is via the Penang Hill Railway, a funicular system that first opened in 1923 and has since been modernized. At the summit, visitors can explore a mix of attractions, including historic colonial mansions, a Hindu temple, and a mosque, All photos created with the Nikon Z6 and either the 14-30mm f/4 or 24-70mm f/4 lens.
