Escondido has quietly become one of Southern California’s most vibrant destinations for public art. Over the past several years, the city has transformed downtown alleyways, building walls, and public spaces into an outdoor gallery featuring dozens of large-scale murals by local, regional, and international artists. Today, visitors can explore the collection on foot while enjoying the galleries, restaurants, and shops that line historic Grand Avenue.
