In between travels, I often like to take out my macro lens and get creative around the house. My approach to macro is to shoot wide open, creating an extremely narrow depth of field. We have a cork board at home where my wife pins up the currency we’ve acquired from our travels that I like to shoot occasionally. My wife also has a stash of foreign correspondence from her time working at BBC World Service that I’ve worked with.
