Our second German port is Cologne, which marks our first Christmas Market visit at night. Here we explore the Dom Market (or Weihnachtsmarkt), which is set up next to the towering Cologne cathedral. The stalls in the market are all a distinctive red color, with shooting stars above each stall serving as the stall’s nameplate. Usually the cathedral would be illuminated but is left dark in a show of solidarity with Ukraine. All photos taken with the Nikon Z6 and 40mm f/2 lens. Processed using Photoshop CC, ON1 Effects, and Color Efex Pro.
